Employee Spotlight: Josh Barton
Employee Spotlight: Josh Barton
October 26, 2022
Sergeant Josh Barton has been a law enforcement professional since 2007 and has performed the duties of an Investigator and Corporal. He was most recently promoted to Sergeant at the Nixa Police Department in 2021 and has completed the FBI LEEDA Supervisor and Command Leadership Institute courses.
With his training, education, knowledge, and professional experience, he has become a great leader and mentor to our patrol officers and the critical role they play in various investigative processes they confront daily.
Most recently, Sergeant Barton helped coordinate Nixa officers to participate in a Guns and Hoses slow-pitch softball game between the Nixa Police Department and Nixa Fire Protection District. The event benefitted the Christian County 100 Club, which is a not-for-profit organization that provides financial support to the surviving spouse and dependent children of police officers, firefighters, and EMS workers killed in the line of duty in Christian County. The turnout and community support at this event were outstanding!
We are very fortunate to have Sergeant Barton on our team! Thank you for going above and beyond!
