Letter from the Mayor: January 2024

As we stand on the threshold of a brand-new year, I find great joy in extending my warmest wishes to each and every one of you. The new year brings with it a sense of renewal, hope, and the promise of exciting possibilities. As your mayor, and on behalf of the entire city government, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the privilege of serving you and the entire community.

As we reflect on the accomplishments and challenges of the past year, it is evident that the strength and support of our community are truly remarkable. We are in the final stages of a massive software upgrade which has been challenging, yet absolutely vital for preparing the municipal government to handle the city’s future growth. As we continue to learn new processes and implement improvements, it has been nice to see neighbors helping neighbors navigate the changes. To me, that is what Nixa is all about.

In the coming year, let us continue to build upon the foundation of unity and cooperation which sets Nixa apart. Our community is filled with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and talents, and it is this richness that makes Nixa a truly exceptional place to call home. As we embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead, I am confident that our collective efforts will contribute to the continued prosperity and well-being of our great city.

May the new year bring you and your loved ones an abundance of joy, prosperity, and good health. Let us cherish the moments of happiness, learn from the trials, and celebrate the victories – both big and small. In the spirit of community, let us lend a helping hand to those in need, and may our shared accomplishments be a source of inspiration for generations to come.
