Officer Hilburn and K9 Jack Shine on the National Stage

We’re excited to share, Officer Hilburn and K9 Jack attended the American Tactical K9 Conference and placed 3rd in the ATK9 Best Team Competition last month.
We are incredibly proud of our K9 team for completing one of the toughest challenges they’ve ever faced. The competition, held at the Muscatatuck Training Center Training Center in Butlerville, IN, demanded not only physical endurance but also precision under intense conditions, including gunfire, sirens, and low-light situations.
The 10-station course included a wide range of tasks: from burpees and sandbag presses to scent detection, tactical building navigation with live fire, and wading through waist-deep water with their dog. At various points, Officer Hilburn had to climb ropes, crawl through tunnels, complete a medical scenario on a dummy dog, carry K9 Jack 50 yards, and pull a 90 lb sled, all while maintaining seamless teamwork.
The course, estimated to be about 1.5 miles long, pushed the team’s mental and physical limits. Despite the grueling nature of the challenge, they finished in just under 19 minutes.
Their dedication and hard work truly demonstrate the strength and resilience of our K9 Team. We couldn’t be prouder of their performance!
