We are thrilled to announce that Nixa Parks and Recreation is expanding our amenities with the construction of a brand-new Splash Pad, located next to the Aquatics Center on the west side. This long-requested feature will provide fun and refreshing opportunities for the community.

The project is funded through Impact Fees that have been saved for a new development of this scale. The splash pad construction has begun and will continue into the fall, with an expected opening in May 2025. Stay tuned for updates as the construction work progresses! We cannot wait for the community to enjoy this exciting new amenity next year!

Splash Pad Update

The Splash Pad continues to move forward as more concrete was poured this week.  The pump house building for the splash pad received its final footers, the control cabinet was installed and plumbed, and another section of concrete was poured as a part of the splash pad.  Crews have begun installing the water features on the splash pad.  Electrical crews have been on site installing the electrical requirements for the splash pad, with the majority of their work coming once the building is completed.  The splash pad continues to move forward as scheduled and on time.  It is exciting to watch the splash pad continue to take shape and progress.  Although its getting colder out, we are looking forward to next summer and some fun and exciting new adventures here at McCauley Park.

Splash Pad Update

Crews have made progress pouring the concrete for the splash pad and the surge tank walls for the building that will become the pump house for the splash pad. On Monday, they poured the second section of the splash pad. Crews will soon turn their attention to the building which will slow progression as they get into more detailed work with masonry and getting all the plumbing for the internal workings of the building. They are progressing as scheduled even with the much needed rain this week.

Splash Pad Update

Crews have completed the plumbing to each spray amenity within the splash pad play area. The base gravel to depth will be installed next week and some concrete work will occur. Crews will also be turning their focus to the pump and filtration building and they will begin pouring the base floor and wall pours for the building. Next week will be an exciting week as the splash pad continues to take shape and come together.

Splash Pad Update

The Splash Pad continues to make progress.  Crews have installed the mounting brackets for all of the spray features within the Splash Pad.  Installation of the plumbing to each spray feature has begun and will take crews some time to install and level before moving to the installation of more subsurface.  It won’t be to long before we are ready for some concrete to begin the filtration and pump building for the splash pad.  The project continues to move along as planned and on time.  It is great to see this new amenity take shape and begin to look like the new splash pad.
