Street Crews Respond to Heavy Snow

Nixa street department crews continue to plow city streets, but we advise that you drive carefully.

We began road treatment around 6am this morning but heavy snow overwhelmed the treatment and accumulated on roads anyway. We switched to plowing and are catching up on the primary routes which are our first priority. Primary routes have required multiple passes with plows due to the speed at which snow was accumulating on the roads.

Once primary routes are clear, we move on to secondary routes, and then on to neighborhood streets.
